Privacy Policy

Grompy is designed as an offline-first desktop utility. All audio recording and speech-to-text processing (using the Whisper model) happens locally on your computer's CPU/GPU.

We do not upload your voice recordings or transcribed text to any server.

We only collect the absolute minimum data required to verify your license and facilitate the purchase:

• License Verification: When you activate the app, we send your License Key and a unique Machine ID to our server to verify validity.
• Purchase Data: Our payment processor (Dodo Payments/Stripe) handles your payment details. We do not store your credit card information.
• Crash Reports: (Optional) Use generic crash logs to help us fix bugs. These do not contain your voice data.

Since your data never leaves your device, it is as secure as your computer is. We recommend keeping your operating system updated.
