Grompy Documentation

Everything you need to get started with 10x faster prompting.

1. Installation

  1. Purchase a license key from our pricing section.
  2. Download the installer from the email you received.
  3. Run the installer (GrompySetup.exe).
  4. Launch Grompy from your Start Menu or Desktop.

2. Activation

On the first run, you will be prompted to enter your License Key.

  • Copy the key from your purchase email (format: GROMPY-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX).
  • Paste it into the activation dialog.
  • Click Activate.

Note: An internet connection is required for initial activation. After that, Grompy works entirely offline.

3. Usage

Recording

Press and hold your configured hotkey (default: Ctrl+Shift+Space, configurable in Settings). Speak your prompt or text. Release the key to stop recording.

Transcription & Injection

Grompy will transcribe your audio locally using the Whisper model. The text will be automatically typed (injected) into the active text field.

4. Troubleshooting

If the app doesn't type, ensure it has accessibility permissions (if on Mac) or try running as Administrator (on Windows) if targeting specific high-privilege apps.
